If the saying “the eyes are windows to the soul” holds any truth, then allow me to introduce you to two individuals with the most stunning souls. Say hello to Xafi and Auri!
The “American Blue” Russian Blue felines have gained immense popularity on various social media platforms, thanks to their stunning appearance. With a massive fan base of over 112k on Instagram alone, these cute cats continue to capture the hearts of many.
Xafi and Auri are often mistaken for twins, however, Xafi is actually a year older than her sister. Although their supporters may have difficulty distinguishing between the two, their parents, Annaken and Tim who reside in the UK, have become experts at telling them apart.
Auri possesses a face that is more circular in shape, wider ears, and fur that’s a tad darker. In contrast, Xafi has a countenance with sharper angles and ears that are a smidge taller.
Their meowing sound is easily distinguishable, and their mannerisms and behavior are also unique.
Despite weighing the same at 3.5 kilograms, Auri appears to have a notably more defined and toned physique with increased muscle mass.
Although their appearances may be similar, Xafi and Auri have very different personalities. According to Anneken, Xafi is more people-oriented and tends to be clumsy, whereas Auri is independent and athletic. When it comes to seeking attention, Xafi is loud and demanding, while Auri is gentle and quiet. However, despite their differences, both cats are incredibly affectionate and sweet in their own unique ways.
Learning to take good pictures of cats took me a considerable amount of time. It’s especially difficult to capture both of them in one shot. We make use of treats and toys as incentives for them to pose and look directly at the camera.
According to Anneken, she now prefers taking photos of cats in their natural habitat while they are doing their usual cat activities. She stated that she no longer enjoys capturing posed photos of cats.
Soon, the family welcomed a new member who goes by the name of Errol. This Somali cat is known for his never-ending energy and slobbery habits. He loves to purr and meow while devouring his food, and has even gained quite the following on social media platforms like Instagram.
In my opinion, Xafi and Auri have the charm to win over anyone they come across – including myself!
