Critics of Cristiano Ronaldo’s luxurious mansion in Saudi Arabia have described it as “hospital-sized” and unattractive.
According to Look magazine, the £28 million mansion located outside of Lisbon has caused some upset with its future neighbors due to construction delays. The property, which has been under construction for almost three years, was scheduled to be completed by July but the player and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, have caused controversy by doing additional work on the house themselves. As a result, the completion of the property will be pushed back by at least another year.
Lili Canecas, a well-known Portuguese personality, recently posted a video on Instagram showcasing her new property that the locals have dubbed ‘Pharaoh Ronaldo’s Pyramid’. However, the video revealed that there was still a lot of work to be done on the house, which caused annoyance to the neighbors as they couldn’t see much due to the construction. One neighbor commented that the construction has been ongoing for three years, and the massive size of the house makes it resemble a hospital.
“I haven’t been able to access my street for quite some time now, and as a result, my garden has become quite filthy. It seems that Pharaoh Ronaldo’s so-called “pyramid” project is to blame for all of this chaos. The project was initially expected to cost £10 million but ended up being twice that amount, coming in at a whopping £28 million. Local residents are becoming increasingly anxious about the state of their privacy and the supposed dilapidated state of the house.”
According to a friend, being alone in Ronaldo’s house is impossible due to its open design that provides visibility from every corner of the Quinta. The property is situated at a high altitude, affording views of numerous surrounding gardens and an attempted but unsuccessful acquisition of a nearby golf course. Plans for the estate include the installation of a large glass pool with a unique underwater bridge.
